Israeli Hope Journey Course
Israeli Hope Journey Course is a traveling course designed to learn more about Israeli society and to provide its participants with knowledge, skills, and experiences that encourage active involvement of college and university graduates in society.
The course is offered as part of the Hope for Israel activities offered in the academia, in conjunction with the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation and the Rothschild Partnerships, led by the Living Together Center at Aluma.
College and university campuses are prime locations for developing human capital in Israel. It is often the first time that young adults from all wakes of society meet with each other and interact under one roof. Despite the challenges in Israeli society, reality proves time and again that its diversity is a valuable resource that has an enormous impact on many aspects of people’s lives and on the main goals that institutes of higher education hope to achieve. These include knowledge development and education as means of positively influencing society. The academia plays a crucial role in shaping Israel’s present and future society, leadership, and economy.
This year, we continue to offer this course in colleges of education, education programs, and teachers’ training programs in universities, realizing the important and unique contribution that education can make towards increasing involvement in Israeli society despite the sectorial structure of Israel’s education system.
