Hesegim for Hitech

Hesegim for Hitech offers students a unique, one-time opportunity to acquire an academic degree in engineering or in sciences from the leading institutes of higher education in Israel. The program is designed for young adults who do not meet the admission requirements for academic studies and cannot afford the cost of tuition. The program facilitates social mobility among young people from Israel’s socio-economic periphery, and addresses the national need for more professionals with STEM degrees and for increased diversity in these fields.

The students in the Hesegim for Hitech program receive a scholarship for their tuition and living expenses, as well as personalized academic support. Over the course of their studies, they participate in workshops and meetings that facilitate their future integration into the workforce. The participants, in turn, do volunteer work and contribute to the community.

Hesegim for Hitech has been implemented at Bar Ilan University, Ben-Gurion University, and the Technion.
