Aluma has been running Zarkor (“Spotlight”) since 2022. This national program targets young graduates of the ultra-Orthodox education system who are considering higher education. It is designed to address the unique challenges facing these young people through professional, culturally sensitive and continuous support — from deciding where and what to study to taking their first steps in the job market.

Zarkor operates nationwide, offering young people guidance and assessments before they apply for studies, preparatory courses, skills workshops, personal support throughout their studies, and employment opportunities — both during their studies and after graduation.
The program reflects a holistic approach that sees higher education as a lever for integration, independence and a professional future — while honoring each individual’s unique identity and needs.
