Ruad (“Pioneer”) is a national program operated by Aluma since 2013, aimed at young people from Israel’s Arab, Bedouin, Druze and Circassian communities. The program is a collaboration with the formal education system, Rayan Centers and youth centers, offering young people guidance and support to help prepare them for higher education.

Ruad works with high-school students in 240 schools across 73 local authorities, as well as older youth. The program offers one-on-one counseling, preparatory courses, help navigating obstacles, and access to information — recognizing the critical role of high school years in shaping young people’s educational and professional future.

Ruad helps young people achieve their academic potential by intervening at key decision points to guide their professional futures. The program offers continuous support from high school to higher education, encouraging young people to pursue academic studies, offering individual guidance, and working within the community to help students successfully integrate into university and create a lasting social impact.
